Sitcom Example of Decline of U.S.

By MILLER

To The Editor:
Enough is enough. When my Lord Jesus Christ walked on His earth, He was spat upon, ridiculed, beaten, punched, stripped naked, had His beard ripped out, had railroad-type spikes hammered into His hands and feet, and hung on a criminal’s cross to die — to die for a world full of people He loves enough to die for.
In almost 2,000 years since He died and was resurrected, His name has been hated and used as a curse word. Books, movies songs, and Hollywood stars denounce and ridicule Him. Those of us who believe and love Him are viewed as being of low IQ and brainwashed.
But this; this is a head-shaking commentary on the sad and rapid decline of our great nation. There are no words I can add to this. In an article I read in a Christian newspaper to which I subscribe, “The Sword of the Lord,” www.swordofthe lord.com, it states the Comedy Central network is developing a new cartoon called “JC.” The show is about Jesus Christ, who moves away from His overbearing, indifferent, video-game-addicted “father,” to live in New York City and have a “normal” life.
May God have mercy on the USA. May God have mercy on the folks at Comedy Central. And may God have mercy on everyone who names the name of Christ and continues to watch Comedy Central.
Excuse me while I go burn the pen with which I wrote such blasphemy and pray.
