To the Editor:
I recently started volunteering at a local animal shelter called Animal Outreach. They have a small storefront on Park Blvd. in Cape May. Basically, I want to give a shout out to the lovely people who run this company. There are many people involved to keep this place running and clean daily. There is so much to do and I was very surprised by the amount of work involved. They house about 40 cats and kittens at the moment. There are some that need medications daily. There are some with special needs like the little blind black kitty. There are senior cats that just want a lap or a warm place to lay their heads.
I’m slowly getting to know the people that work there and I have to say, I’m having a ball doing it. These people not only give their time, but lots of love too. I’m so impressed with Animal Outreach. If you have a moment to spare, stop in. Check out the babies that are up for adoption and while you are at it, adopt! I did and I love my big boy Lewis. I got him from AO and he has brought more love into our home.
Please save a life, adopt. You will be paid dividends in return.
