Same County Issues Continue

By Linda Williams

To the Editor:
I am commenting on the Feb. 14 page one article entitled, ‘Cape Issues Seek Your Input.’ ‘Cape Issues’ is trying to address concerns in Cape May County and is asking for assistance from our community.
I have lived in Cape May County all my life. In my adult life, I have tried to be a part of my community in many, many ways. I have voiced my opinion and have tried to reach out to those whom I thought would be interested in listening.
The topics of your discussion mentioned in the article, are issues that have been a part of our county for years and deliberated in many of our community groups, considered by our politicians, and pondered by chambers of commerce for countless hours. Sadly, we are no closer to resolution now than we were those 25-plus years ago.
Now, retired, I am reading once again about the “issues” of our county, our schools, our bridges, our access highways, etc. So many of us have tried, and so many of us are now retired or have passed on. The same problems are still with us.
Thank you for reaching out. Thank you for trying!
