Dear Herald Editor:
I am writing this letter directly to the editor unlike the cowardly, disgruntled person who calls in anonymously to Spout Off. Last weeks spouter should get their facts straight before giving out information (we pay enough ($100) to hear the National Athem) I am a very proud resident of the City of North Wildwood, a property owner for 27 years, and a full time resident for nearly 15 years. It has been my proud privelage to sing for the city, the Veterans Organization, the Elks, and other Fraternal Organization, Festivals (Irish and Italian), Tree Lighting, the Police etc.. whenever i was called upon. I have done this for at least thirteen to fourteen years. I have also sund for neighboring communities and the county when asked. For all this time I can recall two $100 payments for opening and the closing of the Summer City Concerts at the North Wildwood Gazebo at 2nd Street. Calculatind the number of times I have sung times the number of years, I figure that i have been paid $1.58 each time. Do you think this has caused a raise in our taxes? On three occasions, for instance 9/11, when i see the wonderful people who come out to support our country and troops I am proud to be there. I unlike the spouter love this city and the good people who live and work here. It will do you well to try and see something good about this town. It is obvious all the negative Spout-Offs must come from the same person. I would say to the spouter, “Get a life, do something constructive with your time.” I am willing to compare my community service with yours. Are you man or woman enough to come forward? Thank you to the Herald for allowing me to have my say. God Bless America.
