To The Editor:
When I wanted to put the world aside, it was at my home on Reeds Beach that I would reside.
Driving on Reeds Beach Road and seeing the view, gave my soul a chance to renew.
Making the turn into the house next to the end, I would smile and say, “Hi” to many a friend, going through the doors, with awe at the view.
The bay was there to greet and welcome you. On the deck, and in the chair – watching the wonders of the bay, it would recharge my soul to prepare for another day.
Was it “Channel One,” the direct route to God’s love or was it the sun, the sand, or peace from above?
Evenings greatest event was watching those special sunsets in extraordinary order, “Shhh” I was told you can hear it sizzle as it reaches the water.”
The Paradise that all residents understood was a universe of its own has been touched by a storm of force never before known.
As we see it now and before …let us raise our hearts to the Creator of all, and be thankful we still can stand tall.
Peace to all in their loss even though it’s not fair, rebuild the houses and the decks, and let’s get back on our chairs.
And remember most of all, “the bay is still there!”
