Random Act of Kindness

By Marie Gardiner, Court House

To the Editor:

It was July 14. My party of three was enjoying a nice dinner at the RedEyed Crab in Dividing Creek. We became involved in some pleasant conversation with a young couple. The man wore overalls, and his companion was very engaging. They finished their meal and left.

When we asked the waitress for our check, she informed us that the young couple had paid for our meal, including the tip. Our bill had to be close to $100.

I wanted to thank this young couple not only for paying it forward, but for giving us hope that people can still be kind to one another in this crazy chaotic world in which we live. Thank you, young man, wherever you are. Your kindness is an inspiration to us all.
