To the Editor,
In response to the “spouter” from Sea Isle who said, “I could never be part of a religion whose main symbol is a dead guy nailed to a piece of wood,” I wouldn’t want to be part of that religion either, if being dead on the cross was the end of the story.
As a Christian, I am blessed and honored to be a member of a family who shares love and faith in a very much alive Risen Savior. One who sacrificed His own life for my sins and transgressions on a few pieces of wood tied together for my salvation. I am a member of an extended family who prays for me during tough times, cares for me when I’m ill and loves me as I am.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my testimony and opinion. Thank you for “Spout Off” that prompted my letter.
