Planned EPA Funding Cuts Will Result in Pollution, Job Loss

By Joe Murphy, Town Bank

To the Editor:
A dismal look to the future of seafood restaurants is in my vision. Any provider of Chesapeake Bay Blue Claw crabs and shrimp better enjoy them while they are not poisoned or toxic from pollution. The proposed cuts in the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) funding for the continued bay cleaning from $90 million to $30 million, 66 percent, will allow pollution to return. Shipments from other areas of the country will increase provider costs that will result in local business losses and/or staff layoffs. Is this the pro-business advocacy and job creations Donald Trump promised?
