Obama Gets a Pass

To The Editor:
How is it that every Republican candidate is scrutinized and examined with a fine tooth comb by the media, yet President Obama gets a pass? I am hard pressed to recall one article that has appeared in any of the papers or on television news channels (with the exception of Fox), which criticized or pointed out anything regarding Obama’s policies that they found lacking.
He has run the deficit and spending to historic levels, unemployment is at an actual 15 percent when accounting for those who stopped looking, fell off the rolls or are underemployed. His energy policy is leading to record fuel prices. He sues states that attempt to protect citizens from invasion along our southern borders. His attorney general claims ignorance regarding “fast and furious” where dealers were encouraged to sell guns to drug cartels leading to the death of a Border Patrol agent and civilians. His Middle Eastern policies have led to the ouster of Mubarak in Egypt and a surge in power by radical Islamists throughout. Yet the media continues to harp on how things are getting better, picking up. If candidate Obama would have been vetted by the media with the same vigor saved for Republicans in his previous campaign, he would never have been elected. Here is a man who was a virtual unknown outside of Chicago with a spotty voting record in the Senate (voted present 95 percent). He surrounded himself with anarchists and Marxists, attended a Marxist/Black liberation theology church run by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He was a student of the radical socialist Saul Alinsky (the best according to Alinsky’s son), embraced Marxist/Socialist professors in college (his own words) including the late Professor David Bell whose motto was “I live to harass white people”(in his book). Obama also stated that the Warren Court did not go far enough in abrogating the constitution regarding redistribution of wealth. Then there is his questionable birth certificate, Social Security number from Connecticut, but according to his minions in the media, anyone who broaches these legitimate questions are bigots or wacko right wing nuts.
I can only conclude that either a large segment of this once great republic is very ignorant or they agree with him…very scary.
