Dear original music starved Cape May County residents:
During the weekend of March 30-31, you have an opportunity to hear several original artists at little or no cost right here in Cape May. I mean no offense to musicians who play here & perform original tunes but primarily we suffer from an abundance of cover bands during the tourist season.
This weekend, we have an opportunity to sample some original talent. Keynote performances are free and if you like what you hear later performances tickets are very reasonable.
In particular, I want to suggest Todd Sheaffer as a must see. I have known Todd for 10 years and I am amazed at the range of his songwriting and performing. I have traveled internationally and across the country to hear him and “Railroad Earth” so I feel very lucky that I am traveling just a few miles to see this rare talent.
Singer Songwriter weekend has been picking up steam the last few years but we need more supporters for events like this to continue. My dream is to see Todd &Railroad Earth at the new Convention Hall someday soon.Please come out and give him a warm welcome, you won’t be disappointed.
