In Defense of the Morey’s:
I am writing to defend the Morey Organization in reference to the tragic accident on the ferris wheel. Let me first say I cannot imagine the dreadful grief the family of the little girl who died is going through. Our prayers are with them all.
I also have to tell you the history of the Morey family. I knew the parents and family of the Morey brothers who now won and operate the amusement piers today. They all have always been hard workers and good businessmen. They have never been careless or thoughtless.
This girl must have stood up, leaned over, lost her balance-hence her fall. The ride itself did not push her in any direction. Please stop blaming the Moreys for her dreadful fate. They never ever thought this tragedy would happen. Parents – please accept this fact – even if it’s hard to do. Don’t make good eople go through the courts and a trial. It will be difficult for you and them. I have to repeat – the Moreys are good people. Don’t make them or you suffer any more
