Miracle Child

Letters to the Editor 2019

By Adeline White, Villas

To the Editor:

On Feb. 6, 2023, a miracle happened. A newborn baby girl, weighing 7 pounds, was found under the rubble of a collapsed building. She was the only one found alive. Her mother and father sadly died.

The umbilical cord was still attached to the mother. Rescue workers said she was under the rubble from the earthquake that hit Syria. She had been under the rubble for at least 10 hours. She is in the hospital in stable condition.

God shows us miracles every day. If only we would open our minds and hearts to him.

This child is surely a miracle. God saved her for a special purpose.
