Marginal Employment a Huge Issue

By Hugh Blair, West Cape May

To the Editor:
Unemployment is a huge issue in Cape May County, as well as marginal employment, persons holding two or three part-time jobs to barely earn a living. This issue has not been forcefully addressed by our current county freeholders.
Danielle Davies and Gregory Wall are very concerned about this issue. It is not an easy issue to solve. So, we need a new perspective and new imagination.
Davies and Wall will bring a new perspective. They will work on new jobs. They will seek new industry, but instead of just focusing on business enterprise and the tax return for the county, they will focus on the needs of the people, how to help people failing to live well on minimum wages, people not receiving health benefits while working part-time jobs, and working mothers struggling to raise children and work too.
