To the Editor:
Shame on you America.
On Sept. 11, 2001, you gathered around George W. Bush when he spoke with a bullhorn at the World Trade Center. He had an 80 percent plus approval rating, and the USA was united. This was true of JFK and FDR during times of crises. Now a rating lower than 50 percent for the president of the United States. Why?
The Republicans have divided the country and instilled fear into the non-thinkers.
You must note and recall what our ‘leaders’ did with that 80 percent approval rating. They felt they had license to attack Iraq, the wrong country .
We now know what words like Shia, Sunni, Jihad, Al-Qaeda, ISIS and Caliphate mean. We’re in a sad state of affairs in this country. Sad, but remember what caused our problems.
