To The Editor:
I just read in the Herald that they want to change the bar hours. I would like to know why. The days of bars and clubs have been over for a long time. People want more wholesome family activities. Some time ago, there was discussion about an aquarium for the mall.
When I moved down here in October 1989, it was a ghost town in the winter. We are always talking about getting people off the boards and to the mall. If an aquarium were there, it would bring year-round jobs.
There could be some stores near for souvenirs and restaurants. In the winter, schools and groups of seniors would come. Let’s face it, where do our kids go on trips? They have to go to Philadelphia or Camden. Let’s get smart and turn the mall into something to be proud of, and put Wildwood back on the map. A skating rink would be another idea. We have the Wall now let’s get the mall area straightened out.
