To the Editor:
I am appalled at the irrational hatred and vitriol aimed at the president in three of the letters to the editor in the July 25 Herald.
The gist of them is that Trump sold us out to the Russians at Helsinki. How? By being congenial to Putin instead of telling him off?
How is pressuring Germany to cut the natural gas pipeline from Russia which provides a large source of income to that country, providing meaningful arms to Ukraine, or supplying the Czechs and Poles with the ABM systems that Obama removed helping them?
Why should he defend the leadership of “our” intelligence community when it has worked tirelessly behind the scenes trying to negate the results of the 2016 presidential election?
One letter even attacked Judge Kavanaugh, calling him a “right-wing bigot”!
Another letter writer quoted John Brennan who voted for the Communist party candidate Gus Hall back in the day. Unbelievably, Brennan was Obama’s choice to lead the CIA.
I am proud to be an American and delighted that President Trump is busy making America great again in spite of all the hatred.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
