In Defense of Kavanaugh

To the Editor: 
The recent disgusting events surrounding the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh demonstrates just how low the Democrats in Congress will go to disparage an honorable man’s reputation.
Their anarchist tactics allowing unsubstantiated charges to be introduced to try and destroy a good man and his family presents a clear and present danger to us all. This in addition to the mob attacks on Republican senators, congressman and their families in restaurants and other public places because they do not share the Democrats’ liberal agenda.
Dianne Feinstein’s incompetent performance of using a clearly troubled woman in a veiled attempt to derail President Trump’s nominee to gain time before the November elections is reprehensible. Feinstein held the accusations for over two months, which should be reason for her prosecution for withholding evidence.
None of the people Ford claimed were in the room when the incident happened could verify her story. Ford couldn’t even remember when the incident actually happened. Even the FBI could find no evidence to support her story.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said Judge Kavanaugh was “guilty ’til proven innocent.” This is another example of how the Democrats are trying to change our Constitution from the long held belief that a person is innocent until proven guilty.
This hypocrisy doesn’t relate to their own party, however, as evidenced by DNC Chairman Keith Ellison who allegedly beat his wife.
Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, and Hillary Clinton have encouraged and condoned attacks on congressmen and have paid to have heckling mobs drown out any discussion with their chants.
Our country was founded on hard work by good people who want a better life for their children. These are the people who still believe that the American dream is alive and well, and can be achieved in a free country without interference from those who believe more government in our lives is the answer.
I used to just worry and be fearful about my daughters, but now realize that this new climate being generated by the Democrats is also a threat to my son. On the word of any disgruntled woman even from over 30 years ago, my son can be accused of an incident and his reputation ruined without any real proof or conclusive evidence by someone looking for their 15 minutes of fame.
Even one of the Washington Post’s columnists, Marc Thiessen, expressed his disgust with the way Democrats tried to destroy Kavanaugh without a shred of corroborating evidence. The Democrats said they plan to be even more ruthless going forward, which to me is an admission of their real intent in this incident.
Please remember this when you go to the voting booth this November. We can’t let this intimidation and mob rule ruin this great nation of ours. May God bless America.
