To the Editor:
I want to talk about how mad, yet sad I am about the homeless crisis in my community.
First, we should let people help instead of them being chased away, along with the people who are homeless, and second, we should at the least build a homeless shelter for them instead of them living off the grid with nothing but a tent and whatever they can find around.
I care because I have seen it and heard about it way too many times to let it be ignored and pushed away from other much-smaller problems.
Others should care because if that was them or their family, they would not like it and would want people to help them, right? Well, what they and other people don’t understand is that people must live like that every day and every night, and only a few people try to help, but most people ignore the fact that people are living in tents, depending on that and what they find around to keep them alive.
That is why I want to help this huge problem in my community.

Sea Isle City – I miss the Nativity scene they used to display outside the historic St. Joseph’s church on Landis Avenue! It was a true reminder of the reason for the season!
