Health Care in Cape May County

By Micki Goldberg, Swainton

To the Editor:
My husband and I had occasion to visit the emergency room at Cape Regional Medical Center recently. From the moment we arrived, we were in excellent hands.
Registration happened quickly and we were whisked to a room where care was immediately given. Nurses and doctors were kind, reassuring and knowledgeable. Blood tests, x-rays, liquids, and four hours later, the prognosis was good and we were sent home to complete the recovery. If needed, a room was waiting, but to our good fortune, home was an even better alternative.
Rest easy, my Cape May County fellow residents. We are all in good hands at Cape Regional.
We are amongst the fortunate citizens with good health insurance, so that we were able to concentrate on our recovery without worrying about additional financial burden. I wish that were applicable to all. Having said that, I feel confident that our community hospital is a godsend for all of us.
