Ginger’s Life Cut Short by Uncaring Humans

By Santagata

To The Editor:
I was so saddened to read Sean Breslin’s letter to the editor stating that he was forced to euthanize his beloved pet, Ginger, as he was no longer permitted to keep him in his condo. Apparently a new president of the condo association decided that dogs were no longer allowed. After living at this location for five years, he should have been able to keep his pet.
He stated that the local shelter told him that the dog was too old to be adoptable and two other shelters didn’t have room. He then went to a local vet, and the dog was put down. I am surprised that a vet would put down a healthy dog.
How sad that because of its age it was not considered worthy to be saved. I know what Breslin must have gone through and how devastated he must feel. Pets are not just animals, but companions who give unconditional love.
What a shame that Ginger’s life was cut short by uncaring humans. Sorry for you loss, Sean.
