Dreamers Deserve to Stay in US

By James Aumack, Cape May

To the Editor:
If Congress does not pass the “Dream Act,” every person who voted ‘no’ should immediately resign. Young men and women, who came here with their parents, had no choice in the matter. They followed their parents as they should have.
How can any government tell them now to leave the only country they have ever known? To make these people leave America smacks of ‘Hitler-ism,’ and reminds me of the Jewish abomination of WWII.
America was built on and by immigrants from all countries. Almost every one of us comes from immigrant roots, some undocumented. I’m very sure that if you looked at Trump’s roots, you’d find that he also came from people who immigrated here from elsewhere.
President Trump is obsessed with building a wall to keep people out. The truth is that very few people enter America this way.
He would spend far less of our money if he established a super drone system to cover the border and a very mobile force that can respond within minutes to any intrusion. This would also reduce the drug trade coming across the border.
