Don’t Shovel Snow

By Pete Gilson, Woodbine

To the Editor:
I and lots of older people are told not to shovel snow. Try to do as I do.
Mostly, the weather man tells me when it is going to snow. I go to my shed and get out my leaf blower and take it in the house.
In the morning, I open my door to the porch and start the blower. It is really not safe to use an electric blower.
For this to be effective, you must use this before any people walk on the snow.  Most snow in our area is dry. It will move very easy. It is most effective to get the snow off your car, no scratches.
If the snow is wet, hire a young person who can use the exercise.
