Dog Feces

By Nelson

To the Editor:
We recently rescued Izzi, a seven-year-old female Border Collie Mix from Beacon, a no-kill shelter in Ocean View. She has come to be very happy when we bring her from our Pennsylvania home to our other home in West Cape May.
It has become a daily schedule to take her from our Myrtle Avenue home for about a 30-minute walk. It is our practice at our Pennsylvania home and in Cape May to pick up her feces. What a disappointment to see on our walks that others do not do the same. Park Boulevard from CVS to Elmira has numerous large deposits along with Elmira to Venice. In addition, Bank Street has its share.
I know that tourists are blamed for things, time to time, but in the cold of February you would have to think not. It is not that hard to carry a bag, which are provided at the entrance to Wilbraham Park. I would hope everyone who walks their pet along these areas or elsewhere will think twice about not picking up their pets discharge, which is very unhealthy.
