To the Editor:
After walking the streets of my community and meeting some of the most wonderful residents, I found that the need to support our elderly and special needs residents is so very important. David Thompson and I compiled a list of items consisting of four pages that we would work on together for them and open up a new senior social center at the old library to make this happen.
We agreed that the back bay bulkheads and dredging were so very important to keep up for safety reasons. We compiled a list of residents who offered to volunteer in our community to get involved and make a difference.
For the past 12 to 15 years, there has been no positivity in this community and nowhere for our seniors to go for entertainment and companionship. Thompson and I were on a mission to make this happen. I know that he will make the residents of Wildwood Crest as proud as he made me. I will be here to support him every day, all the way.
We ran a clean, honest and friendly campaign, we had no hidden agenda, and we worked as a team all the way. Our families and friends supported us in an unbelievable way and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you!
For years, no one came out to run for a commissioner seat and this is truly sad. It’s very easy to sit back and complain about what is or is not happening in our community, however, you need to get involved.
I am very proud of what I accomplished over these past nine months with Thompson as my running mate and my friend. I have been blessed with hundreds of “congratulations” and “thank yous” and “we’re so proud of you” messages every day.
I wasn’t sure if I had it in me to take this next step after my retirement; however, I loved the family I had within the Borough during my employment. We were true to each other. That has been gone for years and I wanted to bring it back.
I know that with Thompson working along with Don Cabrera, it will come back sooner rather than later in all three departments. The employees deserve to be appreciated as do the residents of this town.
Thompson and I encouraged the non-voting residents to come out and give their thoughts, opinions, and suggestions. Just because they don’t vote it doesn’t mean they don’t have a voice.
Thompson will be awesome for our community and I wish him all the best. Again, thank you to everyone who supported us, asked for a sign, joined our fundraisers and voted for column 2! I look forward to the future with Thompson again soon!
Wildwood – So Liberals here on spout off, here's a REAL question for you.
Do you think it's appropriate for BLM to call for "Burning down the city" and "Black Vigilantes" because…
