To The Editor:
On June 11 and 12, Dance Dynamics delivered one of the absolute best dance recitals they have ever put together. Mary Beth Clark and her team led their protégés at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center with the spectacular program, “Go Light Your World.” With carefully selected numbers, the dancers thrilled the audience with well-choreographed routines. No one missed a beat.
I loved the theme and the flavor of the entire evening. There was something for everyone. The program offered Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern Dance, African Worship, Hip Hop and Musical Theater. Each student was garbed in an extravagant outfit designed to compliment the song. Flowing robes, frilly dresses and colorful prints accented every piece performed.
If you have never been to such a presentation, you have missed an extravagant event. It is like New York with all the notoriety and class. Only there is a difference. The program is for everyone and each is an Oscar winner. It is our children or relatives and all the instructors and those behind the scenes that should have their name on the marquee. They should receive the standing ovation for all that they accomplish in one short yet grueling year, preparing to radiate on the stage for a few hours.
For me, it is one of the best events Cape May County holds. Congratulations to the whole entourage. Thank you, you surely do light up this world.
