To The Editor:
County pay hikes, damn. The last time my property taxes rose, irate, I went to Middle Township’s city hall, affectionately called, “The Steal Mill.”
I asked, “Why did you guys raise my property taxes?” They responded with, “We didn’t do it, the county did.” The county, so they could give themselves raises, pay hikes. They need raises like a dog needs another flea. It’s simply greed.
Greed is the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse. Every crisis has its beginning long before its actual onset. America may have started out as a republic democracy but it as deteriorated into an oligarchy, a government in which a small group, clique, exercises control over “We the People” for corrupt and selfish purposes. Revolution anyone?
At 81, I may not be able to lock and load and “ride into the valley of death” like the 600, but I can roll bandages. Again, revolution anyone?
