To the Editor:
Less than one month before Election Day, a new poll from the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University shows Sen. Jeff Van Drew and Assemblymen Robert Andrzejczak and Bruce Land with “commanding leads” over their Republican challengers.
It’s obvious that most voters realize that Van Drew, Andrzejczak, and Land have helped revitalize the region’s economy, create new jobs, and improve small business growth. They were instrumental in saving more than 1,300 jobs at the Vineland Developmental Center, negotiating a bipartisan agreement to keep the center open. They also helped small business owners by eliminating exorbitant fees and cutting government red tape that cost businesses time and money.
The Van Drew team also recognizes the importance of casinos to our local economy, since many of their constituents benefit either directly or indirectly from the gaming market. They fought against efforts to allow casinos to open in North Jersey. Van Drew is sponsoring legislation to keep casinos open in the event of government shutdowns such as the one this summer.
Van Drew, Andrzejczak, and Land have their priorities straight. We can count on them to continue fighting to create jobs, stimulate the local economy, and hold the line on taxes.
