The circus came to town. They were all there, clowns in rings one and two performing all weekend long, one after another. Pelosi, Hoyer and all the Democrat drones lying to you, telling you that they are fulfilling the WILL of the people by passing Obamacare. All of the lies while poll after poll is stating that 70% plus of Americans want to start over and do not want a government takeover of healthcare. All the elite, ever lecturing, telling you what’s best for you, while 50,000 Americans are in protest right outside their door, with millions of others in support through their thoughts and prayers.
If their bill is so wonderful why did they have to bribe fellow Democrats for their vote both in the House and the Senate? Why did they have to consider procedural trickery and why did they need to threaten the members of their own party to pass such a wonderful piece of legislation.
Why? Here are a couple of reasons. This boondoggle will cost the American taxpayer 960 billion over ten years per the CBO. This is flat out crap. The true cost of the bill has been estimated at 2.4 trillion. Consider this, most entitlements (such as Medicare) actually cost between 2 to 9 times more than the original estimate. Additionally, everyone will be responsible to purchase healthcare. Compliance will be audited by guess who? The IRS. Boy, that’s just what I want to see.
Then on Sunday afternoon came the main event. Appearing in the center ring, the Bart Stupak show. Weeks of lecturing Congress about how pro-life he is, how he will never bend regardless of how much pressure, and how he values his conscience and moral convictions over politics at any level. Week after week the same performance. Then all of a sudden at 5pm Sunday he makes a deal with Obama himself the most pro-abortion President ever, by accepting a promise of an executive order restricting abortion funding with federal dollars, which doesn’t have the value of the paper it’s written on (if it ever gets written). He was then called a baby killer in the House during the vote by a fellow Congressman. While that may be strong, the terms hypocrite, neophyte and liar are not.
I believe that the decision to have an abortion belongs to each woman, but that the government should have no role in that decision pro-or con.
The issue here is the hypocrisy, dishonesty and lies of the left, all to promote an agenda repulsive to the majority of Americans.
If you go to Bart Stupak’s website http://www.house.gov/stupak you’ll see that his district received over $700,000 in funds to improve three small airports. This happened March 19th. What a coincidence.
Estimates have been made that tens of thousands more abortions will happen because of this bill’s passage, some say hundreds of thousands, but 50,000 may be more realistic. Mr. Stupak, because of your vote, as an avowed pro-life person you should be ashamed of your lies, hypocrisy and most of all yourself. How can you call yourself pro-life when you sold out countless lives for $14 each and a worthless piece of paper.
