Concerning Mrs. Bresan and Mrs. Hayes

By Adams

To the Editor:
I am writing this letter in reference to the story “Ex-Chair Quits Commission.” I feel that Mrs. Bresan who was chairperson for 12 (?) years was and is wrongfully accused of wrongdoing. I also feel that Mrs. Hayes is on a witch hunt, plain and simple.
First, Mrs. Hayes changed the location of the commission meeting from the old court house to the second floor of Crest Haven without other members on the commission being notified of the change to vote on the status of Mrs. Bresan’s chair position. Second, Mrs. Bresan used her husband’s business for canvas bags and he made a profit off of those orders and this is wrong now? It is my understanding that a business is in business to make a profit. And then there is the matter of 7,000 copies. Well, I do know that the bags and some of those copies were used at last year’s job fair, held at the Wildwood Convention Center. Now if 20, 15, 10, five or even one person gained employment from the job fair then to me the cost of bags and copies is more than worth it.
Also in Mrs. Bresan’s 12 (?) years as chairperson, did the commission not end each year with a surplus of cash? (Maybe Mrs. Bresan should run for mayor.)
Mrs. Hayes wanted this seat. Let’s see what she does with it. Let’s see how well she runs this year’s job fair.
