It seems we are getting what Chris Christie said he would do during his campaign. Rather refreshing a politician doing what he promised to do. In a few short weeks Christie is tackling the sticky issues of restructuring a bankrupt state before it falls apart. Notably the Democrat majorities in the NJ Senate and Assembly are following his lead and actually voted 36-0 (four abstained) to his recent cost-cutting proposal pensions and healthcare. What Jon Corzine did not do in the years as governor with a majority in both houses, Christie is doing. Perhaps the U.S. Congress and Senate can take note of what’s happening here and begin to stop the federal bleeding too before they kill the patient.
