To the Editor:
We have seen nations rise and fall, rulers great and small, young and old, warlike and effeminate. It’s always the innocent who suffer or die no matter what the ruler calls himself.
This one I would call “the Park Avenue brat.” A spoiled child, raised in ease and comfort, accustomed to having his own way.
Actually, he really shouldn’t be allowed in public, until he is taught the basic rules of good taste and good manners. A little honesty and integrity, understanding and compassion, capability and diplomacy, and morality and maturity wouldn’t hurt either.
I don’t believe this country has ever seen the likes of a leader like this. We’ve had a few beauties in our time, but never as disorganized as this one.
I suppose it’s because he bit off more than he can chew, and now he doesn’t know how to fix it. He says he likes chaos; I suppose he does, along with misdirection, and increasing civil strife, fear, and all the other tactics of subterfuge.
He can lighten the burden of being the main reason for the problems that he has caused in this nation and around the world. What a shame, that just a few can cause such disharmony, fear, anger, and hatred in a world that’s had its fill of it.
It’s also a disgrace that large organizations and companies with their donations control legislation. I call it “protection money.” They donate, and then legislation is passed to benefit and protect them.
The perfect example: these mass shootings. How many innocent people have to die before changes are made in this country?
At first, there were all kinds of “We’re going to change this and that.” Now, after a little “chat,” he changed his mind.
I think I can tell you why. It’s because they threatened to take away the money they contribute to the party. After all, in his mind, money is more important. “That’s just good business.”
I would love to see him look in the eyes of those who lost a loved one in these shootings, and tell them that the money they’ll lose is more important than their child, spouse, or other loved one.
The idea they’re taking away our rights is nonsense. They say that to rile everyone up, to distract them from the idea that no one, except the military, should have access to those types of weapons and what goes with them.
I’m quite sure certain organizations have stock in these manufacturers. If demand goes down, then stocks go down, they lose money, then they can’t contribute, so, then it’s possible they will lose the legislation that protects them. What a catastrophe! It’s like political, organized crime.
I’m sure there are those who will disagree, or maybe I’ve opened a few eyes. The thing is, this world is in an explosive state. It’s not going to take much more before it self-destructs.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned, what’s this one going to do, as he watches this country fall, watch his ratings go up or down?
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
