To the Editor:
I think Middle Township Chamber and the town-ship should change the name to “No Left Turn Mid-dle Township” with the traffic on Route 9. It rolls along, there is no way you can make a left turn into traffic. You cannot get out of any business, banks, post office, side streets and Hand Avenue to name a few.
Former Freeholder William Sturm proposed years ago making Shunpike open all the way to Railroad Avenue at Route 47. I think this is the only commu-nity that does not have another road going along the main street. Township committee and planning board now want to add more space for business along Route 9, and that will add more traffic.
We do not need engineers to tell us we need more red lights and turning lanes for better traffic flow now.
