To The Editor:
I want to thank The Herald and other media outlets in the area for the fair and balanced coverage they have provided for the Middle Township committee election on Nov. 2. They have provided an outstanding opportunity for both candidates to express their thoughts and opinions on the issues, and on each other.
I would like to commend all of the residents in Middle Township for paying close attention to the issues, and for truly caring about the direction of their community. In my opinion, Middle Township is the most diverse community in Cape May County. From Goshen to Avalon Manor, from Court House to Green Creek, the people remain the strength and create the character for Middle Township.
I am blessed for having another opportunity to serve all of the people in Middle Township. My 18 years of public service as mayor and township committeeman was an honor, and a privilege. It will truly be an honor to serve our residents again, and help make Middle Township a clean, safe, and caring family community.
My campaign slogan for this election has been “Putting people first, not a political party.” I truly believe that there has never been a more critical election in Middle Township, and that elected officials have to work harder than ever to make tax dollars maintain and improve the quality of life that we enjoy in our community.
I bring a proven, 18-year track record that includes securing millions of dollars in grants for environmental projects. During my tenure, we implemented countless public safety initiatives, improved recreational offerings for our youth and seniors, and created our popular business district. And, we created community pride with various family-oriented events and celebrations that flourish today while thanking the numerous volunteers who make Middle Township a very special place to raise our families.
I thank readers in advance for their support, and I promise full-time dedication to making their lives better, and making Middle Township a great place to live.
