To The Editor:
We had new sidewalks installed awhile ago, and much to my surprise the contractor walked into my work to inform me of the loss the four pompous grass and various other bushes the very same day they started.
Had I had known, I could have replanted them elsewhere. But no big deal as the contractor assured me they would do the best they could to replace them. That was approx five to six weeks ago, and due to the dry spell they have not completed. The sidewalk with the center of dirt was not seeded also. Thus weeds have sprouted up. I do not feel I should be responsible for the dirt and weeds, as they should have laid down a mat to prevent them from growing. And much to my surprise, I get a code violation notice.
What really has me irritated is the fact that I have left three messages with the contractor, and have not received a call back. This no way to treat a taxpayer.
