Bring Back the Senior Jamboree

By Pete Gilson, Woodbine

To the Editor:

I just heard that there is not going to be a Senior Jamboree this year. We, especially seniors, have been sitting at home since the pandemic started. We look forward to this every year.

I’m old and this could be my last dance. I came out of the hospital about a year ago or more. I was given exercises to do. I get up and the first thing I do is exercise. I’m 89 years old.

I realize that I must do this exercise if I am going to dance again at the Senior Jamboree. This has kept me going every morning.

I realize that the pandemic is scary, but everything is opening up now and no masks required. If you want to have this seniors-only event, make some calls to the county commissioners, at 609-465-1065, and let them know.
