To The Editor:
Long may she wave, our red, white and blue, in any size or shape. To me, red is symbolic of the blood that has been shed defending our Constitution.
In 1906, George M. Cohan wrote lyrics that stir our patriotic fervor. “You’re a grand old flag-you’re a high-flying flag, and forever in peace may you wave, you’re the emblem of the land I love, the home of the free and the brave.
“Every heart beats true ’neat the red white and blue where there’s never a boast or brag, but should Auld Acquaintance be forgot, keep your eye on the grand old flag.”
Middle officials must have gone bonkers, daffy, when they for want of a better word, attacked our colors. Heaps of praise upon Mr. Fotakis for standing up for his, our Constitutional rights. Bravo, George, Bravo.
