Ban Assault Weapons

By Bob Diiorio, Ocean View

To the Editor:

How many innocent lives must be lost before action is taken? Why do our elected officials refuse to stop the killings? What is the reason that assault weapons are allowed to be manufactured and sold?

The answer is a simple solution. Place a binding question on the November 2022 ballot, asking voters of the nation to decide. Do you support the immediate and permanent ban on all assault weapons in this country?

Mr. President, stop the violence. Become a “true peacemaker” for the entire country. Put the question on the ballot. We implore you and all politicians to “stop turning our children into angels before their time.”
