To the Editor:
People should be tired of hearing about assault weapons when the people that want to ban them don’t even know what one is.
I would like someone to show me a gun in my safe that would not assault you in the hands of a crazed person. So, what they want to do is take away all your guns, or just the ones that look bad.Well, there are a lot of guns that do not look nasty but are a lot more deadly than the bad-looking guns or so-called assault weapons.
What about handguns? They kill more people than any gun.
Everyone agrees something has to be done about killings, but people that don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to guns will never fix the problem. All they want to do is ban guns and that will never happen, so why don’t we try and fix the problem and look at maybe bigger problems, like gun laws we already have that are not being enforced. That would be a good start.
