Dear Residents of Strathmere,
I am writing today to express my deepest apologies. Over the past several weeks you have received a fund drive letter from our organization. We mail these letters to all residents in Upper Township. A mistake was made when the tax list of addresses were forwarded to our mailing company and the Strathmere residents were not removed from the list.
We are the Upper Township Rescue Squad. We are a nonprofit volunteer organization that operates solely on donations and fundraising. We have been incorporated for more than 50 years. We offer emergency services to the residents of the township free of charge. These services include; but are not limited to basic life support (BLS) treatment and transport, water rescue, K-9 search and rescue, fire ground rehabilitation, event standbys (sports and community) and any other services within our scope.
Because of the demographics of the township, our BLS services are not primarily utilized in Strathmere, largely because of our location. However we are the second BLS agency to respond to your town for any emergency, including medical, water rescue, K-9 search and rescue, fire ground rehabilitation, event standbys (i.e. kayak and lifeguard races, church events) if requested.
We have offered these services as listed above in your town. In closing, the mailing of the fund drive letter was an error on our part and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I hope that now that we have identified this problem and addressed it, there will be no further incidents.
