An Apology

By Peter Gilson, Woodbine

To the Editor:

I previously submitted a letter questioning the reasoning behind the cancellation of the senior jamboree this year.

I received a very nice call from Mary, the executive director of senior services. She took the time to explain the decision had to be made in February, based on those Covid stats. I’ve come to realize that she was more informed than I was.

I would like to apologize for doubting the decision to cancel the jamboree. Mary Dozier is doing a great job and continues to want the best and safest events for all seniors.
