To the Editor:
Especially good group of Spouts last week! I was extremely happy to see the Avalon Spout quoting Professor Tom Sowell. I collect his columns. All the black conservative pundits and columnists had Obama’s number early on and gave plenty of warnings: “A glib sophomore; cocky ignorance,” said Sowell.
Professor Waiter Williams wrote, “The first black U.S. president must be a Jackie Robinson, and that’s not Obama. Obama will be bad for America and bad for black people!” There were many others besides these two giants who commented similarly.
Now we have Dr. Ben Carson being audited by the IRS because he’s a conservative with a new column in the Washington Times that criticizes the administration.
The Villas Spouter was smart to remember Hillary’s key campaign 2008 question, “What will he do when he gets that 2 a.m. call on the red phone?” Which of the two is more prepared to take the call? Now we know, after the Benghazi tragedy: Neither of them!
I also agree with another Villas Spouter who perceives a “subtle change” in the Herald!
