A Stranger’s Kindness

By Adeline White, Villas

To the Editor:
While on my weekly food shopping trip to a Rio Grande grocery store, I was $47.50 short when the total came due. The cashier insisted that she put the $47.50 on her credit card. She said the next time back I could pay her.
I was shocked that a perfect stranger would do that for me. I have been shopping at that store for over 40 years.
I hope they appreciate what a wonderful employee they have. I hope she knows how much I appreciate what she did.
She made a senior citizen’s day. May God bless her always. I can’t wait to pay it forward to someone else.
