UPPER NEWS NOTES

By Rosemarie Whelan

Upper Township/Ocean City Rotary Report – This volunteer organization, which raises money for projects in the community, recently had as its speaker, Shawn Quigley, of the Spring Mill Piano Gallery on Shore Road. in Palermo.
Quigley, who has been playing the piano since he was 5 years old, does it all as a piano tuner, restorer, mover, and teacher. He rebuilt the player piano at the Tuckahoe Inn about 10 years ago and services it yearly. Quigley also tunes the piano at the Music Pier for the Ocean City Pops. He is the organist, and has been so for the past seven years, at the quaint Trinity Community Church, which is only open in the summer, at 85th St. and Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City.
The Rotary meets every Monday at noon at the Tuckahoe Inn.
