Sabu and Kaba are now four months old, and autumn is the perfect time to come and see these rare snow leopard cubs which were the first ones ever born at the Cape May County Zoo.
A total of just 11 snow leopards were born last year in the United States and survived. Information that will answer your questions about these beautiful animals is placed on posters at the site. During the fall, the Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and admission is free. Visit www.capemayzoo.org or call 609-465-5271.

Reminder – The Applefest is this Sunday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at the Gandy Farmstead, Route 616, in Greenfield. Judges for the apple pie baking contest, one of the featured events, will be Tyson Merryman, owner/chef of the Tuckahoe Inn, and Johnny Appleseed (Jim Birchmeier). Super Shopping Spree in OC – Citywide Yard Sale – This community event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Tabernacle grounds, Fifth and Wesley Avenue, and at homes throughout the town. There will also be table sales along Asbury Ave., from 6th to 11th Sts. Call 609-398-4662 for more information.
Walk for the Wounded – This Walkathon, to be held on Sat., Oct. 2, will benefit Operation First Response, a non-profit organization, which provides emotional and financial support to wounded soldiers and their families. Register at the Ocean City Music Pier beginning at 10 a.m. The three-mile walk will start at 11:30 a.m.

First Annual OCNJ Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk – The 13.1 Mile Run and the 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sun., Oct. 3. The half marathon starts at 9 a.m., and the 5K run/walk starts at 9:15 a.m.

Computer Workshop – Intermediate MS Word 2010 – On Monday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Cape May County Library will offer this class, which is recommended for experienced computer users. Learn Mail Merge, how to use tables, and formatting.
