Shore Memorial launches ShoreDirect, a direct link to the services of Shore Memorial Hospital, which is designed to provide convenience for the healthcare needs of the community.
By dialing ShoreDirect at 609-653-4600, callers will be able to access the following services: Centralized Scheduling, where appointments may be made for diagnostic tests; Physician Finder, to locate a doctor based on specialty, location, gender, and more; and the Wellness Program, to sign up for events such as fitness classes, medical lectures, or health screenings.

Classic films are shown every Tuesday through Sept. 21 at the Ocean City Free Public Library’s new Lecture Hall. The movies are free and open to the public. The next film to be shown on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6-8:30 p.m. will be The Manchurian Candidate.

Email workshop – The Cape May County Library is sponsoring a computer class, Hotmail 101, available to adult library cardholders in good standing. The program takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Technology Education Center at the Main Library, 30 Mechanic Street in Court House. The workshop is limited to eight participants, and pre-registration is required, which can be done by calling 609-463-6341.

Ocean City Fine Arts League has invited the public to the “Beach to Bay” show of themed artwork by local painters, photographers, ceramic, and sculpture artists. The exhibit is free and takes place from Aug. 1-31 at 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday to Saturday; and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, at the Fine Arts League’s gallery, Art on Asbury, 608 Asbury Ave.
A reception will be held on Friday, Aug. 13, from 7-9 p.m., when awards will be given to this month’s competition winners. T is for turtle – Crossing roads is such a hurdle! “Traveling Turtles,” a Wetlands Institute program, will take place in the parking lot of the Schiavo Library on Commonwealth Ave. in Strathmere on Thurs., Aug. 12, from 7-8 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
