Shore’s Thrift Shop shifts to new location, The Auxiliary of Shore Memorial’s Thrift Shop has moved from its former location in Seaville and is now located in the South Shore Plaza at 232 South Shore Road in Marmora.
The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Donations of clean, nearly-new clothing, household items, decorations, linens, DVDs, books, and sporting goods are now being accepted.
Also, giving a few hours of your time in the shop each week can be a very rewarding experience.

“Kickin’ Celtic FUNdraiser Party” – The Barley Boys Irish Rock Band will be the headliners for this event, sponsored by the Ocean City Fine Arts League, to be held at the Hibiscus Restaurant, 101 E. Maryland Ave. in Somers Point, on April 17, from 7 to 11 p.m. Rounding out the entertainment for this event will be a performance by the dancers of the Coyle School of Irish Dance.
There will be a full hot buffet that will feature Irish cuisine with additional American and vegetarian choices to please all palates.
The funds raised by the “Irish” auctions and 50/50 will enable the Ocean City Fine Arts League to offer the local community art educational programs and support the gallery and out-reach programs.

Earth Day by the bay – The Bayside Center will be the scene of Ocean City’s celebration of Earth Day on April 18, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be entertainment, environmental exhibits, refreshments, and more.
The End-to-End Family Bike Tour, a community-wide bike ride from the south end to the north end of Ocean City, will begin at the Lifeguard Station on 58th St. and Central Ave. at l0 a.m. and conclude at the Earth Day celebration at the Bayside Center. The nine-mile biking event is not a race, but is for folks of all ages and levels of fitness.

To keep your bicycle in tip-top shape, “Bicycle Maintenance and Repair” classes will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays from April 20 through May 11 at the Main Branch of the Library located at 30 Mechanic St. in Court House.
The instructor for the class is Bruce Doherty of Hale’s Bicycle Shop, who will show how to repair common bicycle problems.
The first class will be geared to the new or inexperienced cyclist, while more difficult maintenance repair items will be taught as the course progresses.
Also, Doherty will discuss how to select a bicycle with the right fit. The class is limited to 12; therefore, registration and a valid library card are required. Registration may be done by calling 609-463-6350 or going online at www.cmclibrary.org.

Choral Festival – The combined choirs of the area will perform on April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ocean City Tabernacle, located at 5th and Wesley Ave. Admission to the concert is free. For more information call 609-399-1915, or visit www.octabernacle.org.
