What will the Easter Bunny do to get ready for all of the Easter weekend festivities in Ocean City? He’ll get a hare-cut and eggs-hibit a new hare style!
A parade of posh pets kicks off the Easter events at the Woofin’ Paws Pet Fashion Show on Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Carey Stadium, Sixth Street off the Boardwalk. The entry fee for the event, which benefits the Ocean City Humane Society, is $5 for individual pets and $10 for multiple entries.
Register at the field starting at 10 a.m. the day of the show. Spectators are admitted free, but may leave a donation for the Society. In the event of inclement weather, the show will be held inside the adjacent Sports and Civic Center.

An egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt is also scheduled for Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. on the Ocean City beaches from 11th to 14th streets. The age groups are as follows: ages 1-2 will hunt at the 11th Street beach, 3-4 and 5-6 at 12th Street, and 7, 8, and 9 at the 13th to 14th street beaches. Only ages 1-2 may have an adult go with them into the area.
Over 100,000 eggs with candy will be placed; 4,000 will have prizes. Five grand prize bikes will be awarded, in addition to grand prizes in each age group. An awards’ ceremony, in the Pavilion at 11th Street and the Boardwalk, will follow the hunt. Those participating should arrive on time, as the hunt is over quickly. There is no entry fee and no need to register. The rain date is Sunday.

Dine downtown in OC at an egg-cellent Easter Bunny Breakfast at the Chatterbox, Ninth and Central Avenue, from 8 a.m. till noon on Saturday. Ordering is from the menu. From noon to 2 p.m., the Easter Bunny will pose for photos, at no charge, in a lifeguard stand at Ninth and Asbury Avenue. Along the avenue, there will be candy-filled eggs for kids, and shoppers should look for egg signs in the windows of participating stores to receive an egg filled with prizes and also to shop the in-store specials.

Easter Sunrise Service is a non-denominational program to which the public is invited. It takes place at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, at the Ocean City Music Pier on the Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace.

Show your chic – The annual fashion contest will take place in front of the Ocean City Music Pier at 1 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny will give chocolate bunnies to children and pose for photos. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed family, children, couples, man, woman, teens, and bonnets. If the weather does not cooperate, the event will be held inside the Music Pier.
