Holiday activities to entertain one and alTake off for Tuckahoe and enjoy the 16th Annual Christmas in the Country on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Station House on Railroad Ave. Events include a Craft Show, Santa’s House, music, food, and fun for everyone. The Holiday Parade will start at 10 a.m. at Main St. in Corbin City and finish at the Tuckahoe Train Station. Santa will greet the kids and pose for pictures at The Station House.
The South Jersey Railroad Museum, located on Mt. Pleasant Rd., will be open and will feature special exhibits.

OC’s parade on view on Asbury Avenue – The Christmas Parade, featuring floats, bands, and costumed characters is set for Saturday, Dec. 4, at 10:30 a.m. from Sixth to 11th streets. Following the Parade, Santa will greet the children, pose for photos, and give out treats at Stainton’s Square, Eighth and Asbury avenues. Call 609-525-9300.

Ocean City Pops are tops – This year’s annual concert, Joy to the World, will take place at the Hughes Performing Arts Center, Sixth and Atlantic avenues., at 7:30 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 4. Tickets are $15 and available at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., 609-525-9300; online at www.ocnj.us/boxoffice; or at the door.

Tickets for the Train Show and Sale at the Ocean City Music Pier on the Boardwalk are $3 for adults and $1 for children. Featured at the show will be working displays and vendors who sell trains, parts, accessories, and memorabilia. Dick Yard will provide on-the-spot repair service.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 4; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 5. Proceeds will benefit City recreation programs. Call 609-525-9300.

Ocean City Historical Museum and Arts Center Events to be held at the Community Center, 1735 Simpson Ave., on Sat., Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sindia Scoop – Ocean City’s famous shipwreck, The Sindia, will be featured at the Historical Museum. See vintage photos and other objects from the Museum’s storage that are not usually on display. Children and families will be given a special tour and will take part in an art-making activity. For additional information, call 609-399-1801.
An array of arts and crafts will be on display for your holiday shopping in the Atrium of the Community Center. Items, made by local artists, include paintings, scarves, jewelry, photographs, books, note cards, pottery, and holiday décor. Local piano students will provide the music. Artists may purchase a table for $25. Call 609-399-7628.

Feast on flapjacks – The Movay-Miley Post of the American Legion will hold a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. till noon at the Masonic Hall, 10th and Wesley Ave., in Ocean City. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. The proceeds will benefit veterans’ projects.

Decorating with nature – Joe Alvarez will show how to create works of holiday art with natural decorations on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.
