There was a song done a while ago by the group called The Newsboys, that included wonderful words like these, “Through fire through wind and through rain, yesterday today and tomorrow the same… Nothing here can take this love- nothing you can do can change this love… Climb a tree, gonna reach so high…Swing low sweet chariot for it’s time to fly-
God is watching over you as always; you are loved whatever you go through…He’s right beside you; God is watching over you as always and if you think He’ll ever leave you, you’d better think again…”
Recently, I put out this challenge to my friends and family on face book. I asked, “Was there ever a time that you knew somebody was definitely looking out for you?” I shared, “Maybe you can’t totally explain all of the details but you can say that you survived something that you did when you were younger, that maybe wasn’t the brightest decision you ever made, but you knew you undeniably that you were being cared for and looked after.”
I want to share with you some of the great responses that I received back. Sounds like many of us have been working our guardian angels overtime, but I have also come to the conclusion that these heavenly beings are doing a heck of a job keeping peace by keeping us in one piece!
Kim wrote me, “Does jumping into a nasty diseased duck pond at the zoo when I was younger to swim to the little island just to catch the turtles but stumbling upon geese nests instead and literally being chased off the island just barely surviving the geese count? The turtles swam away before we actually could even get there, so the mission changed quite quickly from turtles to survival- but I am still here to talk about it!”
Yes Kim, I can officially say that it counts and I too have had my own misadventures with geese so much so that I am still deathly afraid of those aggressive fowl to this very day!
Brenda shared, “The kids and I were in our small car and I pulled out just as a milk truck was coming around a bend and to this day I have no idea how we survived! I did not see said dairy driver and the vehicle was coming right at us and the only thing I remember is looking in my rear view mirror and the truck was stopped and so was I and after realizing that there was no collision, we both drove off as if nothing ever happened and because of the hand of God, nothing ever did happen! Oh yeah, this was a true God thing!”
Lilia chimed in, “Ten years ago I was getting gas at a 7-11 and there was a man who was walking around and he just didn’t sit well with my spirit. As I came out from paying for my gas and buying a gallon of milk, I saw this guy pressing himself against a young mother. She had her toddler in her arms and he was pinning her against the car. I thought quickly and walked up to her and acted as if we were together and asked her if she was ready to go.
She played right along and snapped back, ‘yes!’ I told her to put the baby in the car seat so we could go. The guy backed away. I did have that gallon of milk and I was not afraid to use it. This young woman waited for me to get in my car and we both drove away. When I got home I called the police and I was shaking like a leaf. I knew right then and there that the Lord was with me at the right time.” What Lilia didn’t know was that the dude who was trying to do what he shouldn’t have been doing saw the 10-foot angel who was pounding his fists standing behind her! He knew better than to not mess with Lilia’s angels.
Diane told me, “Five years ago I left work early to be with my daughter as she was going to the hospital to have her baby. As soon as I started the car, I felt a presence inside the car with me. I said, ‘Sure, Jesus! You can come!’ I knew it was something good. Not long after that, a car pulled out right smack in front of me and I swerved, like a fool, into oncoming traffic. The car did end up hitting me, but the other car that was coming straight towards me miraculously ran onto the grass.
After I turned the car off, I sensed that the presence had departed and amazingly I realized that nobody was hurt! I just blurted out, ‘Praise God!” If only Diane had invited Jesus to not just go along for the ride but also take the wheel, maybe she wouldn’t even had gotten hit at all!
Pattie recorded this memory, “One very sleepy, early morning, about 15 years ago, I pulled out of my court yard into the main street without looking. A car came within inches of hitting my driver’s side door. A man came out of nowhere and asked me if I was okay, and I knew it was my guardian angel. I just knew it. When I looked back to thank him, he was gone. I never got over the feeling that God was watching out for me that morning, as He does so lovingly and carefully every day. Thanks, Rudy, for asking us to share. God bless you!” No God bless you Pattie and continue to keep you under his supernatural surveillance.
Rosemary replied to me with this nugget. “In August 1989, I was moving from Virginia to Alabama with a car packed with stuff to the gills. I was going 65 mph on the interstate, when I allowed myself to get distracted from the road. Looking up, I saw I had drifted onto the shoulder but when I turned the wheel, I overcompensated and proceeded to roll the car. Miracle No. 1 was the car ended up right side up, on the shoulder of the road, facing traffic!
Miracle No. 2 occurred as I was sitting in shock, staring at my completely shattered windshield, a woman’s voice says to me: ‘Don’t move; I’m an intensive care nurse.’ This woman whose name I can’t remember, called my family for me and even called me the next day in the hospital. After this crazy ordeal, my only injury was a literal pain in the neck.” But even better Rosemary, was the confirmation to your heart that God was focused upon you even when you drifted.
Kate told me that she was a true miracle baby baptized on the very day that she was born and expected not to survive 24 hours She says, “I have been blessed by God’s intervention many times in my life avoiding serious harm, accidents and death on more than just a few occasions both as a child and also as an adult.
My latest greatest adventure was a major car accident where our truck was totaled and flipped over a few time with me and my four sons riding inside. Nobody was seriously injured. My son Seth, who was seat belted in, was removed from the position that he was originally placed in and saved from the passenger door being crushed in on him where he had been originally belted.” Seth would later tell Kate that he felt ‘Hands’ lift him free out of harms way. You are in good hands with God’s state of protection! We need to pray that God gets his hands upon us more often!
How many times have you been given the gift of divine oversight without you even knowing? Angels are watching over you even when you are blind to them! Thank God!

Do you think it's appropriate for BLM to call for "Burning down the city" and "Black Vigilantes" because…
