OC & Upper News Notes

By Rosemarie Whelan

The Ocean City Pops are tops and a large crowd assembled, which proved just that, at the OC Library Lecture Hall last week.
The Pops Brass Quintet played a marvelous medley of music ranging from John Philip Sousa, to Duke Ellington, to Johann Strauss. “It was a nice variety of music and a prelude to the entire Pops’ performances in the summer,” said Phoebe Dickson of Ocean City who attended the event.
The concert was made possible through Friends of Music/Ocean City Arts Center.
The Pops will open their summer season at the Music Pier on Sunday, June 26, with entertainer and singer, Lucie Arnaz.
